The model features high performance air tyres with ball bearing wheels, and longer bicycle cranks that provide added torque and traction.  Braking is handled by the dual action hand brake, whilst a freewheel lever provides safe coasting when engaged. The benefit of a dual handbrake (applying a brake to both of the back wheels) is that it allows quicker and more controlled breaking, and puts less strain on the back axle.
