Sandpits provide a excellent opportunity for children to learn through play. The clever design of this wooden sandpit allows the hinged lid to fold back on either side to form two bench seats. This means that there is no top cover to be stored elsewhere, or left on the ground to kill the grass or be blown away. The lid/seat is slatted, so it is light and easy for children to handle. When not in use the lid of the sandpit can be put down, hiding any toys and preventing animals from soiling the sand.

Made from pressure-treated Baltic wood, no aftercare is required. Delivered as a flatpack, though the lid is part-assembled.  Requires only simple further assembly with all screws provided. 

Please note that the sandpit has no bottom - the idea is to place the pit in your desired location over free-draining soil (not on paving slabs or non-draining surface) and to allow the rainwater to seep through the sand and drain away, just like a beach!
